What does it cost?
Readnauts Family is $39/year (about $3.25/month), or $4.99 month to month, for your whole household of up to 8 readers, kids and grown-ups together. That is around $5 a reader for the year. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, no credit card. While we are in early access it is free to use.
Is there a free plan forever?
No. After your 14-day trial, if you do not subscribe your account simply becomes read-only: you can still sign in, see your whole library and export it, but adding new books needs a plan. There is no separate free version to manage.
Do you charge per child?
Never. One household price covers every reader, up to 8 in your family. We would rather you fill those seats than pay per child.
What if we have more than 8 readers?
Readnauts Family covers up to 8 readers, which fits almost every household. If you are a bigger group, a classroom or a library program, a larger plan is on the way. Get in touch and we will look after you.
What is the Founding Family deal?
A thank-you for being early: the first 100 families to subscribe automatically get 50% off for life, just $19/year, forever. There is no separate plan or signup; the discount simply applies.
What happens to my data?
It stays yours. Your family library is always exportable, even if you cancel, and it never sits behind a paywall. Books belong to the reader, not to us.
What is Smart Add?
Type a messy note like "read Dog Man at bedtime" and Readnauts fills in the cover, author, pages and a reread check, all on the Family plan.
